IT Operations Assistant

What We’re Looking For
We're looking for a reliable, organized person to join our team handling the behind-the-scenes operations
that keep our IT services running smoothly. This is a great entry-level opportunity that combines
inventory management, equipment processing, and occasional client deliveries. You'll be working
primarily in our office managing our equipment inventory with some local driving to client sites.
This role is perfect for someone who likes hands-on work, enjoys organization and logistics, and wants to
learn about the IT industry from the ground up.
What You'll Actually Do
Inventory & Equipment Processing (Primary Focus):
Receive and process incoming equipment shipments
Label, organize, and maintain our equipment inventory room
Support inventory tracking and cycle counts
Break down cardboard and maintain organized workspace
Prepare equipment for deployment or storage
Equipment Processing:
Decommission old equipment safely and securely
Process equipment returns (RMAs) to vendors
Prepare and list salvaged equipment on eBay for resale
Handle equipment disposal and recycling properly
Client Deliveries & Field Work:
Deliver new computers and equipment to local businesses
Pick up equipment from client sites for repair or replacement
Perform simple equipment installations (basic setups)
Assist with desk moves and equipment relocations
What You Bring to the Table
Required:
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Comfortable with basic computer tasks and learning new systems
Professional demeanor for occasional client interactions
Preferred:
Previous experience with inventory management, shipping, or office organization
Experience with eBay or online marketplace selling
Interest in technology and IT equipment
Ability to work independently and follow detailed procedures
