Heroic Technologies is seeking an MSP Systems Engineer to serve as the senior technical authority for our managed services organization. 

As Heroic continues to scale, we are establishing a dedicated technical leadership role responsible for engineering standards, platform architecture, and advanced technical escalation within the service organization. This role is a key part of our long-term operating model and reflects our commitment to building a service organization with strong operational leadership alongside strong engineering leadership. 

The Systems Engineer works in partnership with the Service Manager to ensure both operational excellence and sound technical architecture. The Service Manager oversees ticket workflows, SLAs, technician accountability, and client communication, while the Systems Engineer handles architecture, engineering standards, escalations, and team development. 

This role is not primarily a ticket-based position. It is focused on engineering systems, platform architecture, and long-term service scalability.

Experience Requirements 

  • 8+ years in systems engineering, infrastructure engineering, or similar roles 

  • 5+ years in managed services environments strongly preferred 

  • Strong experience with Microsoft 365, Azure / Entra ID, and identity architecture 

  • Advanced troubleshooting across networking, cloud services, and infrastructure 

  • Experience designing standardized environments across multiple client environments 

  • Strong automation and scripting experience (PowerShell preferred) 

  • Experience mentoring engineers and improving team capability 


Certifications (or equivalent knowledge) 

  • Microsoft certifications such as MS-102 or equivalent 

  • CompTIA Security+/Network+ or equivalent 

  • Vendor certifications across networking, cloud, or security platforms 

Equivalent real-world experience may substitute for formal certifications. 
 

HR Information  

  • Full Time, permanent position  

  • Salary: $125,000-145,000 depending on experience 

  • Compensation may include performance-based bonuses tied to improvements in operational efficiency, automation impact, and engineering outcomes.
